Matthew was delighted to attend the 2017 London Rath Yatra in Trafalgar Square.

This annual event is a parade of chariots drawn along from Hyde Park to the centre of London. The main chariot is that of Lord Jagannath and this is accompanied by the chariots of his elder brother Balabhadra and sister Devi Subhadra. 

Rath Yatra is a major Hindu festival and the many people who followed the parade then enjoyed entertainment and food provided by the organisers.

Matthew said: "It was great being in the company of Lord Jagannath and His devotees and everyone clearly enjoyed being together and sharing this big, colourful celebration."
