Matthew is delighted to have been re-elected as the Member of Parliament for the Hendon constituency. The share of the vote for the Conservative Party in Hendon increased by 0.8% to reach 26,878 - a record number.
The support for the Labour Party fell by almost 5%, while the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party saw increases in their support.
Matthew said: "I am grateful to all those who delivered leaflets, knocked on doors and stuffed envelopes for this campaign. And, of course, I am grateful to all those who returned their trust in me by voting Conservative. It is an honour to have been re-elected to serve the people of the Hendon constituency.
"The Prime Minister now has a majority in Parliament and we can get Brexit done, put more police on the streets, invest in the education of our children, increase spending on the NHS and get a clean air bill for London, all of which will benefit the residents of this constituency."
