The days leading up to Christmas are busy for most people but for the members of Jesus House Church at Brent Cross it is a particularly bust time. Each year the Church collects donations and buys the ingredients and produce to provide Christmas dinner for over 2000 homes in Barnet.
Matthew has been supporting this initative for many years and on Friday 20th December helped to pack the hampers and then distribute them the next day in the Edgware area.
Matthew said: "It is fantastic that so many people come together in order to provide a Christmas dinner for thousands of people in the Barnet area. There were Labour councillors and Conservatives councillors working side-by-side packing hampers to achieve a common aim. Such spirit of co-operation to help the less fortunate in our community really demonstrates the Christmas spirit. We are very lucky to have Jesus House working alongside churches in the Hendon constituency and I look forward to working with them all in future years."
