Matthew has welcomed the news that Mill Hill East Tube Station could soon have step-free access. This follows Mayor of London Boris Johnson’s announcement that money is to become available to improve the accessibility of London’s underground network.

Matthew said: “Making transport more accessible for residents in the Hendon constituency is one of my key priorities. As a local resident and regular user of the Northern Line, I welcome the news that the London Mayor wants to spend money on creating a more accessible tube network and applaud him for that.

"The next step is to achieve step-free access at Mill Hill Broadway overground station. I am continuing to press the Government and the new Thameslink line operator, Govia, for funding.
