Matthew was delighted to attend the annual Nepali Mela held at Kempton Park. The event is a significant day in the Nepalese calendar and is held as a festival of Nepalese culture celebrating the diversity of Nepal.

In addition to watching demonstrations of traditional Nepalese music and dance, viewing arts and crafts, Matthew was able to enjoy traditional Nepalese cuisine including Rotis and Momo.

Matthew said: "The event was a great day celebrating the huge diversity in the relatively small country of Nepal. With so many of my constituents having Nepalese heritage, I am eager to visit the country and see the progress that has been made to rebuild the country following the terrible earthquake in 2015. The day was a fantastic introduction to the country's culture."
