Matthew has met with residents in Greyhound Hill to discuss their concerns about the rerouting of the 125 bus.
The proposals by Transport for London (TfL) would mean rerouting the 125 bus to go along Greyhound Hill and Church End in Hendon. The plans include building new bus stops along the roads.
Residents raised various concerns such as an increase in congestion, a potential decrease in parking spaces and increased emissions and pollution.
Following his meeting, Matthew immediately wrote to TfL to raise the concerns of his constituents.
Matthew said: “After speaking to residents it is clear that many people who live on Greyhound Hill are worried about the consequences of buses on their road. There are already existing bus routes which I believe could accommodate the extension of the 125 without having a detrimental effect on Greyhound Hill and Church End.
“I have written to TfL as a part of the consultation process, which I understand is now closed, and I hope they will give priority to the concerns of residents living along the proposed route.”
