Matthew attended the Humane Society International UK reception to discuss the group’s campaigning on enhancing animal welfare, ahead of the forthcoming Animals Abroad Bill.
This legislation is one of three Bills that has been drafted in a bid to improve animal welfare. It will include measures to crack down on hunting animals for trophies, as well as holidays that lead to the neglect of animals like elephants.

Last week the Animal Welfare (Sentience) Bill passed its House of Commons Third Reading delivering on another Conservative election pledge.
