Matthew has signed a Book of Commitment in the House of Commons, in doing so pledging his commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day and honouring those who died during the Holocaust.
Matthew joined a giant bumble bee and campaigners from the environment charity Friends of the Earth to draw attention to the alarming decline in UK bee numbers.
Matthew visited the NHS Blood & Transplant Centre in Colindale to discuss the re-location of the donor testing facility with staff and management and to see for himself the services provided.
Matthew showed his support for the Meningitis Research Foundation’s ‘Meningitis Matters’ activity, by attending a Parliamentary reception aimed at raising awareness of meningitis particularly amongst children. The event brought together Parliamentarians as well as leading healthcare professionals and marked the culmination of a day of action in Parliament.
